Our business got its start in the 1930s in Aledo, Illinois, as Kistler's Hatchery. At that time, we hatched baby chicks and sold Purina livestock feeds to the area farmers. In 1958, Kistler Prairie Mill was built in Buffalo Prairie, Illinois. It is a grain elevator and grind and mix facility that is still part of our business today. Reynolds Feed and Supply started in the spring of 2003. It is here where we offer a variety of companion-animal feeds, pet food, livestock feed, bedding products, animal health products, tack, and much more.  

Our staff at Reynolds Feed and Supply includes:

Marty Kistler, owner and operator. Marty grew up in the area working on the farm and at Kistler Prairie Mill. He has been involved in the feed business for 23 years.

Heather H. is our in-house horse and plant person. She has worked with horses most of her life, including five years at Friendship Farms. She also manages our green house.

Our newest staff member is Dalana Schmidt. She spent 14 years in the veterinary field and earned her Associates degree in Applied Science and went on to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.  Dalana can help you decide which feed is best suited for your furry friends, and answer any other questions you might have about your pet's health.  

Pet Food

Our pet food line consists mainly of PMI Nutrition and Exclusive brands. PMI Nutrition is our standard line of pet food. One of our most popular PMI products is our 40# Canine Select dog food, which is a soy-free food that dogs love.

Exclusive is our super-premium line of dog and cat food. The primary ingredient in Exclusive is fresh, NEVER FROZEN chicken or lamb. Our inventory includes what you would typically find in a feed store; salt, beet pulp, minerals, sunflower seeds, cracked corn, wildbird seed, gamebird feed, and more. One of our biggest sellers is our Cleaned Oats. Your horse is sure to love them and you will too! Our oats beat the competition in quality and price, hooves down!
